Casino Review

The question that always comes up when watching Casino is: Where do people get all the money they throw away gambling? The movie answers that in a few different ways, and manages to stay a lean, mean thriller the whole way. This is one of the best works by Martin Scorsese, and I think it’s a must-see for any Vegas buff.

Casino is not only an example of the opulence and neon lights that make Las Vegas famous, it also digs deep into the city’s history with organized crime. There is no other movie that portrays both the seedy backroom gambling parlors and the glitzy, euphoric experience of casinos in such a captivating way.

There are no good guys in Casino, and the main characters are mired in corruption, greed, and violence. But there is still something compelling about the movie, and Sharon Stone is at her very best in the role of Ginger McKenna.

Casino is a must-see for any Las Vegas buff, and it’s also a great film to teach children about the dangers of gambling. As with any type of entertainment, it’s important to create boundaries and stick to them. Gambling should only be done with money that you can afford to lose. If you have a certain amount that you are willing to lose and don’t go beyond it, then gambling can be an enjoyable form of entertainment that you don’t feel guilty about. However, if you start losing large amounts of money and don’t stop, then you may need to seek professional help.
