What is a Slot?

In hockey, a slot is an open space in the offensive zone between the two face-off circles. The slot is actually found in two different places within the rink: the low slot, in front of the goaltender, and the high slot, in the middle of the ice above the face-off circles. In some hockey games, the slot is also called the scoring area. However, the definitions of slots vary. To learn more about the definitions of slots, read the following article.

The Dialog Engine can recognize multiple words for the same slot. For example, a user can say, “I’d like to rent a hotel in New York.” The bot will then understand the user’s intent and map the terms to entities. For example, a user can map the term “hotel” to the built-in slot “hotel”, “Rooms in New York” to a custom slot type. Once the mapping is complete, the user can add more slots by selecting the “Slots” tab in the UI. After selecting the slots, the user can enter the name of the slot.

Another popular term for slot is “slave of technology.” It describes someone who can’t live without a gadget. The word is derived from Old French esclot, which has an uncertain origin. Other possible sources include the Old Norse word slod. The word slot first appears in English in the 1520s, while the term “slot machine” dates back to 1888. And while we’re talking about the meaning of Slot, this can be either a boy or a girl.
